HHI Bridge blog

We are going through some difficult times right now.  During this time of quarantine and stay-in-place and pandemic I want to do my part to keep bridge alive.  I want to do my part to support the bridge community, specifically all of the bridge players at the Hilton Head Bridge Club, the Okatie Duplicate Bridge Club and other ACBL games in Beaufort County and the SC Lowcountry.

While working with Jon Peluso on ways to share bridge write-ups (bidding, play of the hand, etc.) for the Okatie DBC website, it came to me …

I have a bridge blog!

I remembered my HHI Bridge blog ... https://hhibridge.blogspot.com/

When actively teaching bridge I used weblogs (blogs) with classes.  In November 2008 I set up a test blog (this blog) for the general bridge community and made two test posts (unnumbered).  I reactivated this blog in August 2014 and made sixteen technical posts (numbered 0001-0016) and several information posts (unnumbered). This blog then went to the back burner.

After writing-up two test deals for Jon and Okatie DBC, I reformatted and posted the write-ups on this blog.  You can read 0017 The Grand Slam based on a board Jamie Traudt and I played at the Hilton Head club and 0018 Making 3NT based on a board that was played at the Okatie club on the last day before the coronavirus closure.

I use blogger.com to host the blog because it is free.  I don’t take advertisers money and I don’t take sponsors money on the blog  … there is a contribute button, but no one has ever contributed.  LOL

I hope you enjoy the blog.
